Default Parry SOund area on Fathers Day

    Hello all,

Every year i organize a fishing trip with the men in our family; my son, dad, grandpa, both uncles, cousins. Unfortunately after my first year organizing, my dad passed away suddenly. Definitely a blow to the family as he was a hardcore angler for my entire life and my love for fishing/outdoors came from him.

As a result, i maintain a strong desire to keep this tradition going. Unfortunately now, My grandpa (his dad) is getting older and doesnt think he can come next weekend. So i am worried the weekend is starting to fall apart and i want my son to look forward to this weekend for years to come.

Anyways, my son and I are still headed up to Parry sound area to meet my uncles for some fishing. We will probably spend one day fishing the local lakes but wanted to do another day fishing somewhere different. We have all equipment/boats/etc to fish in Gbay (big boat) or smaller lakes, paying attention to whats in season, can anyone suggest somewhere/type of fish we should try to go after for the day? Gbay definitely intrigues me, but i dont think trout are in season...do we go for pike? muskie? walleye? salmon? where should we go (within a few hours from parry sound).

thanks so much for any advice...really looking forward to it!

    Cheers,

Lake trout are definitely in season for G bay. Could also hit Lake Joseph or Lake Rosseau for Lake trout. Pike too
