I haven't kept a smallmouth in 20 years, I guess I forgot how good they tasted deep fried in a batter mix. Nice fish enjoy them!

I have nothin against eating a smallie, but I don't think I'd go over 14".
How big was that pike?

12" to 14" for me to eat. Anything larger goes back. Did you know that for every ounce of weight over 3 pounds that a bass weighs, it will lay an additional 1,000 eggs.
