Nice fish. Not sure I'd eat a big female at this time of year (or any for that matter).
Catch the pike without a leader or the bass with one?

Yep, and thats why the MNR have changed the regs in zone 10. Bass have come in like asian carp. (k maybe not that bad) Hopefully more people come up and take these so our pickeral will bounce back.

Make it mandatory to take bass out of the ecosystem, that would slow things down a bit.
If you want to keep a walleye, perch or pike you need to keep a bass as well.

Yep, that's why I don't realize any bass over 3lbs in deep lakes.

I'm sure anglers would be all over that. And treat the bass well at the same time. Yikes.

good to know but they opened smallmouth year around here in zone 10 north of hwy 17 cause theres just too many there everywhere invading all the lakes so im just doing my part to drop the population especially in the good walleye lakes!
