West Lake
Hey All,
Heading to west lake this weekend. Anyone fish there? I think we will be mainly fishing from shore or off docks. Any suggestions for fishing that area? We will be in the south/east area of the lake.
Cheers,
April

Im assuming your hoping for walleye or Pike?
My goto especially when shore fishing is jigs/plastics, and stick baits (rapala) retreived just below the surface. Some of my most memorable shore fishing has been the late evening bite casting rapala's and bringing them into shore.
Best of luck April

There is a dock close to that isah tubbs place if its still called that weve got wallys and pike off it. Trolling cranks on sand puts wallys in the boat. Walking along the dunes and casting for pike can be awsome too

Be sure to post how you did. I haven 't fished there in 25 years... I wonder if it has come back

There used to be a really nice drop off around I think the 1st or 2nd swimming holes at the dunes, we used to slam pike and the odd bass. Also used to walk the shore and cast out for pike and walleye. Haven't fished there in a few years, since we sold are trailer.
Hope all goes well up there for ya, good luck. I'm planning a trip up there myself this summer.
