Long Point perch fishing

Hi All,

I'll be at Long Point provincial park in a couple weeks and was thinking of renting a boat and taking the kids out for some perch fishing. I'm just starting to look for places to rent (maybe Old Cut or Sandboy), but I would assume that they will be small aluminum boats. Because of this and the fact my kids are still pretty young, I was hoping to not have to travel too far from town to get into some perch. I've never fished Long Point before so is there any good perch spots that's relatively close to the marina's or do I have to go further out?

You don't have to go far to find perch ,they where at the end of the old cut channel a week ago.If you want to catch your limit check out Big Daves perch charters. He fishes the best perching grounds on erie at Long Point .

MacDonald marina in Turkey Point rents boats has bait etc. Good fishing all along Turkey Point and it may not be as crowded.
