Up until 2005 the company was called Diemaco of Kitchener, now it's called Colt Canada.

It really frustrates me that these are restricted. You can take a semi auto non-restricted 223 and put black stocks on it and it remains non-restricted but now you make something that is a military variant in semi-auto only and it must be restricted.
I don't think I would ever buy one due to the limited use, but I would build a non-restricted 223 to look like one.

Just think of how much "seat time" the various beaurocraps, lawyers and technical experts put into these guns before they were declared restricted. They have to have a reason to claim their pay checks each week. Then think of the wrangling that went on to convince Colt to put their assembly line here in Ontario....jobs created by your liberal government. The tax breaks, the skilled workers who now have jobs, right down to the delivery people. A win win situation that is being paid for by your tax dollars every time you buy gas, a bottle of booze, donut or a hunting license....
All brought to you by your local politicians....earning their pay ( which also comes out of your wallet)
