I'm glad I posed the question....you guys have made me re-evaluate my plans! The outhouse was for my wife and teen daughter who plan to go up a few times...need I say more
The property was settled by my Grandparents in the late 1930's and parted out to my Dad and his siblings when my Grandfather passed away. 20 Years ago today my Dad gave me his lot as a wedding present. The "road" going into the property ceased being a road many years ago...when I was last there 30 years ago it was overgrown and beaver flooded in a couple of spots. My neighbour called last fall inquiring about purchasing the land but I told him our plans of eventually building a camp. He seemed genuinely glad of our plans and offered access as well as meeting us at the property next weekend and giving us a tour of the area...pointing out the perimeters etc....
I think it's good advice to focus our efforts on establishing our own access and leave the outhouse for another day....I'll let you know what Wifey thinks of the seatless chair TurkeyRookie!
Thank you for all of the feedback everyone!
Mike
