...And the season hasn't even started!
...But that didn't stop me from putting on 2,000KM to get ready.
Headed off Friday afternoon and took the family to Wasaga Beach and spent the night, they are staying there for a week or so with the in-laws. Got up Saturday morning and headed to London to meet up with LondonDave to grab the 4 Goose Buster blinds he picked up for me, had a great chat with him and showed me a bit of the property and talked shop. One heck of a nice man as he comes across on here as well, looking forward to seeing him again this fall.
Then as it turned out, my good buddy and co worker was visiting his family in Alymer with his wife so I headed over to meet them for breakfast.
Next it was off to Bass Pro, took a look around, and got some prices to compare with, a few things I was looking for of course weren't in stock but that is just expected now.
Then headed off to Sail to take advantage of their 15% off sale, looked at the A400 for about a half hour drooling, on for $1,695 with the sale.
Gave it back to the guy and then grabbed 2 flats of Kent FastSteel in #2 3" 12Ga.
Loaded those up and headed up to Barrie for a stop at Cabelas, was ready to spend money, but I was to late, everything I was looking for was either cleared out, or not available in store.
Wanted a mojo pack for my dekes, but they were sold out, wanted juts a light Under Armour MAx-4 long sleep shirt for the warm days, sold out, wanted to try on / pick up a pair of Super Mag waders, not carried in store.
Checked out the Kent prices there, 3 bucks a box more than Sail, and 6 bucks a box more than the sail, sale price right now.
Did grab a rig 'em right goose flag, and case, store was packed (dinner time Saturday) grabbed a quick bite, and headed back up the highway to Timmins, made er in around midnight, a productive shift!

Glad you made it home safely Jason. Sounds like a whirl-wind trip. It was great meeting you too. Hopefully we get a chance to hook up in the fall. The invitation is always open.
