Controlled Gun Hunt
I've received conflicting info regarding the controlled gun hunt. After you are successful in getting in, do you have to buy an additional deer seal? I've had someone say that if you're drawn you have to pay again for a seal and I've had someone tell me no you would use the 1 seal you've probably already bought
Thanks for the help

You can use your main seal. Additional controlled hunt seals are available in some areas for those who want them.

I also recommend reading the regs thoroughly. Although everyone on here is quite knowledgeable, you should always read the regs in case we have made a mistake.

Thanks guys. I thought I could use the first seal. I was reading through the regs and assumed the 1 tag was good until I read the line that said you don't need to purchase a seal unless you are drawn. Glad that's solved. I appreciate the help

As long as you get your validation card you're good to go with your original tag. Being a bow hunter, I always buy an additional for the controlled hunt, but I agree with the rest read the regs and keep a copy in your car

about not having to buy a seal unless you are drawn just means that if you do not archery hunt or do not plan on hunting other than the controlled hunt you want to enter you just apply to the controlled hunt draw without buying a deer licence and if you are successful then you buy your licence. good deal if you ask me

I agree Lazyman, it is a good deal. I had to get another opinion after reading the regs as if it seems nice and easy coming from the government, l always look to see what I'm missing lmao.
