Why on earth do you apply for a doe tag if you have no intention of killing a doe? There are plently of us who are strictly meat hunters who often rely on what is often a very limited number of doe tags to help fill the freezer. If you are drawing a doe tag with no intention of ever using it you are taking away an opportunity from someone who would.

additional tags it depends not all wmu's allow bucks and does. 82a is doe only for additional.

64, oh well.I only kill mature bucks and there is 5 of us in family and only 2 that hunt hard,other 3 try...From Oct 1st to DEC 31st.So in reality it would not affect my tag system anyway as we "Gang" hunt and only take what we want to which is usually 3-4 deer,however we have tagged out the last few years with all bucks.If i wanted,i could tag out Oct 1st or any other sit with a doe.I have been drawn 6 years in a row and haven't killed a doe since 2006.

If so many deer why are none available?

I know of 3 people that got 74b tags. And a great tag they are, any deer, any season.

Well thats good news at least and yes it is a great tag. Must have been sold out in under 10 min.

Long gone are the days walking into the service center Aug 1 (or later ) and picking and choosing.

Now just need to hear about my 60 tag.

I would think it's because the biologist say there is no need to issue extra tags,i can only remember a few years there was ever extra tags in our area,back in the mid 2000's.I see a slight decline from then but the heard has stayed about the same the last 6-7 years.I am still seeing the same amount of deer out and about and even more while I'm hunting then a decade ago.I don't mind them not giving additional tags out.I am not a kill everything i see hunter.I am now a bow hunter only now and pick and choose my buck.

I got mine yesterday as well for 87. Called around 11:30am and got right through.
