My parents used to take me out of elementary school for a day to duck hunt with Dad and his friends ... the teachers and principal of the school called in my parents to give them royal hell for doing this ... Mom defended with "he will learn more in the field than the one day he missed from school" ... after she was done with them, they never bothered us again.
With the laws, many of which are to get more money from us hunters, I am surprised we do not need a hunting license for our retrieving dogs, since they participate in the hunt and often inform us a duck is approaching when we do not see it.

Well, silly me. I always thought dogs had to be licensed, too.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

The united hound dog union of Ontario is not going to like the fact labs and pointers can operate without a licence in this province.

FA states that a person without a license can be in possession of a fire arm ONLY under the DIRECT AND IMMEDIATE supervision of a license holder.. The Ontario CFO has said that to mean arms length. And one gun be between 2,ppl.. Other CFO allow 2 guns...
