FF... it works
Thought I'd share a funny little tidbit from my day today. Been working a ton and had today off so loaded up the kid and the pup and went for a walk. We were out by the lake (Bay of Quinte) and had stopped by the water to throw a couple bumpers for Jake to help him cool off. Keira loves the water so she was wading around and wanted to hang out there for a bit. I gave Jake 3 retrieves then put the dummy away. While she was in the water, Keira began tossing rocks out a bit further. Jake was wading around with her and intently watching the rocks she threw. Keira also noticed and threw one and said "Jake fetch!" (she generally never throws things for him because she knows about his training). I was just about to give her crap when Jake promptly shoved his head underwater and swam down to the bottom and brought the rock back. I couldn't believe it! I tossed it again for him and again told him to fetch and away he went - diving under water to retrieve his rock lol. I stopped there as it is something I don't really want him doing, but it just kinda caught me off guard. Never seen him even put his head underwater. So I guess you could say FF was a success with the boy hahahahaha. Even had time for a selfie after:

You and your dog have come sooooo far from when you started. It has given me great pleasure to follow along on the forum. Congrats. Great story.

That's pretty cool, I've tried the same with my retriever, she just lets her bum sink and splashes in a circle with her front paws.
