Default zinc supplement for dog pads

Anybody ever used a zinc supplement in feed for dogs during their working months? I was asked by a guy that runs a lot of coyote dogs to find it for him through work (we use it in cow feeds). It helps them heal faster and keeps their foot pads in a lot better condition running in hard snow and he swears by it. Have any of you ever used them on your bird dogs. I am getting it in and my try feeding it to my dog this fall to help with the thorn scratches and torn pads.

Zinpro is what we will be using. Can't get smaller than 25kg bags in Canada though.

It is also very good for skin and coat issues in dogs. If you have a dog with tender pads that are always getting cut up Zinpro will sove that problem.
