both my buddy and I have an extra tag along with my dad so we may trim the population a bit come Oct 1

Our camp in #49 drew one doe tag this year. Last year everybody drew one and we could all have purchased additional surplus tags so in theory we could have legally killed 10 doe for 5 hunters. We only chose to shoot bucks though as we are seeing a decrease in our herd. We will not fill the doe tag unless an accident/mistake happens and someone shoots a doe by mistake. Obviously our local Deer Biologist is being very cautious and cut way back and we are thankful for that. If he hadn't adjusted and we were to get nailed with another harsh winter this year it could take a decade for the herds to bounce back. Based on the summer we are having I wouldn't be surprised to see snow starting to accumulate in October this year.....LoL.

3 guys in 42. No tags. My neighbor and his son both got tags in 42. They are my new best friends! lol

It's always more or less the same number of applicants, year after year. If you do have the option of hunting more than one WMU, then keep an eye on the MNR website as the deadline for applying approaches. A couple of weeks before the deadline they post the tag quotas, which you can use with the previous year's summary to determine where your best chance of getting a validation tag is. I've been doing that for a few years now, so I knew the chance in 64A was going to be about 70%. This was still better than my other option, so I applied in 64A. Sometimes you are just unlucky though...

Could you tell me where I could look for it? I had searched through MNR website thoroughly but couldn't find it.
