Does anyone know if the Bush up and around Whitestone is any good for primarily Partridge? Possibly Rabbit?
I'm starting to plan my first time small game hunting and am looking for advice. I'm trying to keep it a little closer to home (oro medonte). The wife and I are thinking to head up on a Friday night and camp/hunt until Sunday afternoon.
Any advice regarding the area would be appreciated... thanks

Nice that's what I was hoping to hear...
do you know of any established crown land camp spots around there...I'm alright making my own camp, but if there is already established sites I would take advantage of one of those...
appreciate the info

Lot of established moose and deer hunters up there so be aware of what else is going on around you (ie other concurrent seasons). You'll have some pretty pissed off dudes if you bust up their drives popping grouse with a scatter gun. Obviously you can do what you please as it's a free country, I'm just talking politeness. Also, for blaze orange reasons.

You will have a hard time finding any Partridge in that area although the Grouse population is pretty good. Also Whitestone Lake has some decent Pickeral but no Walleye. All in fun LOL. Enjoy your time and best of luck....................Boog

why will it be hard to find them if there is an abundance in the area? I'm looking to camp south west of Whitestone lake.
not trying to step on any toes... I'll be at my camp in 47 for moose and deer rifle seasons...
