    Default Maxi's 1st hunt

Not a bad day on Saturday - he did better than his human buddies - found 10 of which we could only get 5. No further comment - very happy with his first real hunt. Looking forward to many hunts together in the years to come.

Nice to get out and enjoy the new pup on a cool August day. May you have many more successful hunts together.

What a mess those burs - it's as if he had an armour on his chest and face - took more than half an hour followed by a dip in the pond - he did not like the cleaning part.....

He needs a coat to wear.

I use a product called showsheen its for horses but it works great for removing burrs on dogs. I sometimes spray it on before a hunt and let it dry.

Much better than a coat. Too hot in the summer for a coat = over heating.
