Amping up your practice
With bow season a little more then a month away how many of you have amped up your practice?
I've started shooting from a stand again as well as from a sitting position this has cut my arrows/night down by about 30/night but I feel they are real hunting scenarios I also don't shot past 60yards anymore and concentrate on 20-45yard shots

Bow is pro-tuned and ready to go. I try to shoot 30 to 40 times every other day.
Oh I can't wait for the deer hunt!

Try and shoot several groups a day minimum, muscle memory and form work. I read an article some time ago that emphasized the importance of shooting lower numbers of arrows on a regular basis as opposed to high numbers. Form changes as muscles fatigue and or warm up, never in a hunting situation is the 4th arrow a factor, nor the 30th. I'll shoot a group of 3, put the bow down and wait an hour minimum before I cycle back and shoot another 3. Now, this doesn't mean I don't enjoy going out once in a while and spending an hour or so just shooting, but my day to day routine is the above.

I shoot an xbow. So its a little harder to get the reps in cause you have to it each time. I hope to practice from my new stands the next coming weeks
The deer are here, when I'm not near
