Krakadawn I'm just putting some gas on the fire. I have many friends that run labs so it's an on going battle of who has the better dog...it's all in fun.
As for CKC, in another post it was just brought to my attention that because I am not a member of CKC and have not paid my $60 within 30 days of passing a title they are wiped clean. So what ever test I did and titles I got are now gone. This is a bunch of crap. I was never told by anyone or have received Any letters stating this info. I hope it's false information or I will be done with CKC. Is this what you mean by misleading people....collecting money then informing after the fact. I know of a guy that put a few titles on his dog...paid all the fees....CKC collected his money, then a month or so later sent him a letter saying his dog was not recognized by CKC and wiped his titles with no money back. So what is your thoughts on that.

Your anger needs to be directed to the event organizers. Any event (lots) that I have entered has a premium list. It sets out the pre-conditions for entering. CKC events normally clearly state that you need to submit your membership # or pay a listing fee or join.

Good point.
I looked up a premium list and I see that statement in the right bottom of page 2
http://www.codac.ca/news/2014docs/Aug17-CKCTrial.pdf
Appears to say that one can't move on until membership is paid , but not that they are permanently negated .Perhaps it means once you pay up, your titles are valid again? I could be wrong in my interpretation.
..............
Several others I looked at had no such statement, but MUCH more about liability issues.
Definitely seems to be the secretary's choice as to what extra is printed.
The registration info requirements are all identical.

Bang on CA.
Here's an example:
Non CKC members who are Canadian, running a wholly-owned dog, cannot win a placement unless they pay
a non-member fee to the CKC. Otherwise, Awards and Titles will be cancelled. The fee will be paid directly
to the CKC.
Payment:
Make cheques payable to the
PINE RIDGE RETRIEVER CLUB, dated no later than MAY 12, 2014. A listing fee of
$9.30 must accompany the entry form of any dog for which an individual CKC registration or ERN number is not shown.
Separate entry forms must be completed for each stake the dog is entered. Scratches/refunds of dogs withdrawn after the
draw for reasons other than stated in the CKC Retriever Field Trial rule book will not have their entry fees refunded.
Please submit all fees in Canadian funds; no exchange will be given on U.S. funds. Please forward entry forms and
payment to:
This is an excerpt from a Retriever Trial this year. Best to reread any premium list for an event that you entered.

Ok I might have screwed up here. I will check the premium list for the test I entered to see if this fee is included, but it also states that if you don't pay the fee your dog is not able to move ahead in titles which I did do. After FDJ I did 4 test in FD with no questions asked. So are clubs not being honest and just taking my money knowing that I can't title.
