    Default Fur and Feather Event

Anyone else planning to attend the Fur and Feather Event at the Barrie Curling Club this weekend. We are hoping to get to it on Saturday afternoon if the chukar hunting is over by noon. If not we will go down Sunday after training. Want to stop by Dakota Creek's booth and pick up some new handlers jackets. Not sure what all will be there maybe Sue could give us a little more info but have desided it needs checking out.

Can somebody confirm the hours of this show? I'm booked on Saturday in a hunt test handler's clinic but didnt realize it also ran on Sunday?

Got down to the event today. it wasn't very big but the venders that were there had some quality items. Sue from Dakota Creeks had great stuff. Bought a book, slip lead 2 handlers jackets and a lanyard. Got info on the new Garmin collars was worth the trip right there. Eden also bought a new duck call and some teal decoys. Put our bids in on the silent auction stuff and visited with Sean Arney from Oakridge Retrievers and a number of other people we hadn't seen for awhile. Even if you don't think it is good, spend your $5.00 so that it can grow and be better next year. We have already thought of 3 more booths that we will encourage to attend. It looks like a good show for small businesses to get their names out there.

It was a good group of quality venders who took time to talk to the people . We even had a long chat with an African Safari planner . Too many really big animals there for me . Rabbits don't fight back , but we learned some interesting facts about hunting there. I really hope they get enough support to be back next year bigger and better.
