I'm seeing what you're seeing however - out of the two bucks we've seen in the last two years (and they're BIG bucks) we're seeing 20 different does, and various fawns. High doe numbers, low buck numbers. It makes you wonder where they're getting their tag numbers from, in reality.

The problem I see, at least for 63a, is the zone size is so large - the deer population could be completely different depending on which end of the zone you're in.
We don't save the does for the wolves. We shot a good buck last year, and we got him opening day, in front of the hounds . However my concern is the lack of fawns, and the number of dry does. We have hunted in 63A for over 100 years, not many fawns. Lots of wolf kills in the winter, I snowmobile the area around Barrett Chute frequently. 63A is a big area, has a huge mix of land. MNR rely on our hunt camp reports extensively. Have a good hunt and buy a bear tag.

I got a doe tag for 60 after goingwithout for 3 years, not really bothered either way, there seems tobe no shortage of deer in the area.
