Dear Mr. Hill RE: Deferral of MURS Devices in Canada

I am an avid outdoors person and run hounds. The Garmin device is an essential tool to help me protect my pet. It allows me to intervene if they are getting too close to a hazard.

I’m able to track the hounds movement. If the hound gets out of range the system gives me a longitude and latitude which in combination with a topographical map aids me in resuming the search .

The deferral of their use in Canada is a great disappointment. The Garmin is an essential tool for me and after a 5 year consultation should be allowed in Canada. The older telemetry systems just doesn’t cut it anymore.

I look forward to a prompt resolution from our government.
