You can buy ladder extensions, I haven't seen them in Canada (at least where I go) but have seen them in Michigan when travelling for business. Gives you an extra 5 feet or so, obviously have to make some measurements to make sure they are compatible. From a safety standpoint you'd want to do this right, its the deer that is supposed to hit the ground, right?

Used to be able to get them in Canada but they have been pulled from shelves for about five years now. When I called one stand manufacturer they told me they didnt want to deal with the liability of high stands anymore. I built my own. Adds an extra 10', 25' is comfortable for me. I ended up picking up some of the galvanized tubing thats used for the 911 signs and it works perfectly.

By picking up I mean purchasing from a local shop not picking out of the ground.
How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?
