My dad had an old truck and would leave the keys in It.. A stolen vehicle got abandened in front of our house one night.. The police knocked on our door to let my dad know someone tried to steal his truck as the drivers door was left open.. My dads response was "if the sob could of started it he could have that pos"

That's how I started my last car for the last 2 weeks I had it before drivin er to the wreckers. Good thing there's a slight hill to my driveway and the parking lot at work.

Remember the old push starters . A button on the floor . They were a real treat starting the old Fargo while holding clutch in , brake on, and pumping the gas with only two feet . Oh that " H " doing 3 on the tree was fun . LOL I remember coming down 3 mile lake hill and missing the gear and hitting the brakes and only one locked on the back . I thought ol girl was going over sideways . Fought with that steering wheel and let her coast to bottom . It was a hell of a ride hanging on to the Fargo in free wheel mode . Lol Tractors was the same .

lol Topher . Dad was likely drunk as many were but none ever killed anyone impaired . I was a pup but drove many old lads home too without a license . Then again us rednecks knew not to crest a hill in the center of the road . Citiots did and still do . Another one of their traits and tell .

Got a free neon a few years ago.. Guy had issues starting it all the time.. Dad and I drove down to pick it up (tow home) looked inside noticed was stick.. Dad jumps in.. I give him a push.. Car starts... Drove it to the barn.. Lifted it up with the forklift.. And found the wire to the starter had corroded off.. Fixed up wire.. And drive that thing into the ground q few years later...

Was the times we could still start an automatic in gear too . Many had generators instead of alternators but a citiot would not have known after leaving lights on all night . Dumb SOB'S MAY BE POLITICALL TERM for citiots .

Old Ford f-100 auto would start if you pulled it to about 30km/h. I think the best one we did was with an old fiat allis crawler. It had a drive disconnect in the back. Pulled that sucker as fast as the skidder coould go then had the younglad sitting on the winch engage the drives and hope like hell it didnt snub up solid.
How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

there is a lot of different things between city dwelers and rural folk. City folk become hardened and street wise, knowing not to walk down streets at certain times of day. Or what to do with all sorts of dangers. Rural folk too have knowledge city folk don't. There are many movies made on this precipise.

I remember how we dealt with power outages in the city, where in the country we have generators, so power outages really don't matter. firearms and wildlife are second nature to my kids, but my wife needed to learn. So you talk about anti's, there seem to be 2 types, either through ignorance (yes there are those folks here in the country), or through design. Most by design are militant veggies, the ones through ignorance can be taught but since city folk have no contact with the country (except by controled enviroment, like parks etc).

So really our job is to help educate those that will listen. Thank goodness we have politicians in our corner, at least so far. But we need to also be willing to fight for not justour freedom to hunt, and have firearms, but also for ALL our freedoms and privileges which can be so easily taken away. And then to also extend to other places in the world to ensure they have the same freedoms.

Why.... because if we won't fight for their freedoms no one will fight for ours
