Good post, I used the same slugs in my savage testing, the Winchester rifled slugs are a lot cheaper. I found that cleaning the barrel between shots when using the Winchester slugs made a big difference in the groupings. The remmy accutips had closer and more consistent groupings when exposed to repeated shots with no cool down and no cleaning between shots.
My personal findings: Winchester rifled slugs for the range days for cost savings, and remmy accutips (or Federal Premium copper) for hunting due to consistency.

The pics of the Remington Accu Tip surprised me.....very small hole for a slug, at least small compared to what I normally shot.
The pics from the Challenger and Winchester slugs are more like it, nice big hole, to do the damage that you want.
For the 50 yrd shot I wouldn't spend my money on anything else.

Wish everyone around here would take the time to do that with their rifles as well. Also great when they use a measured range instead of guessing. I have a measured 85 yd range in the bush that has been called 150-200yds......

Surprised with the accuracy of a rifled slug from a rifled barrel.

Im not sure if its true but ive been told the rifling on a slug is the oppsite hand of the rifling in a barrel there fore the barrel overrides the slug.
Some nice groups. Dont matter what you feed her theres deer down.
How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

I shoot the rem. accutips out of my 870 rifled with a
barrel and scope and get very good groups out to 100yards plus.
