    Default Scent blocker clothing

Hey guys just looking to get some scent free clothing. What's everybody wearing ? So much to chose from been looking at under amour. Want a set to use this coming fall and winter deer hunt (bow). Is there one suit that would do it all?

Went bear hunting friday night and shot a bear. Buddy and camp owner were tagging up and did not shower and smelled very very bad with the hot weather. Wind was to their face and they shot a 250 pound boar. That stuff is great marketing but really works very little. Scent control is all in the wind direction. Does not matter what you try and put on if you are down wind you are getting busted. Better to save your money and buy what is on sale. I do. I do try and shower before I hunt with scent free soap and keep my hunting clothes in a closed bag. But if they wind sucks then I am going to get busted.

I have the spray and all the soaps. So you think it doesn't work or it's not worth the money. I really just need lighter stuff my other camo is way to bulky for bow. The stand I am hunting out of the deer sometimes come in behind me or in front of me so I am just trying to cover my scent as much as possible.

Don't get caught up in the routine, play the wind. You could wrap yourself in a nuclear hazard suit and have someone spray you down with scent killing spray and still the deer will be able to smell you. That being said I use Canadian made Sport Chief clothing when I deer hunt.

By the sounds of it I think I might be going with the plain jane camo and the money I save I will buy a decent harness cause the one that came with ladder stand sort of sucks. Lol. Thanks

Ya buy some lighter clothing and just store it in a large Tupperware container with some evergreen boughs. You cant block scent, only mask it as much as possible. I wash mine with the special soap once before bow opens and then the night before rifle opens, not sure if it physically helps but definitely helps get me into the hunting mindset and feel like I have my chit together. This way a $10 bottle of detergent lasts 5 years.

If you want to spend extra on clothing I would suggest paying the premium for quiet material not scent blocking.

Ok thanks for the help and saving me some cash. Heading to Erie Tracker this week and needed some opinions to help me chose what to get.

Maybe look at the winds and move your stand. Buy it if it makes you feel better but play the wind.

North wind be preferable cause the deer trail is 15 feet away from stand that is 15' up hoping it will blow over top them but they will prob be already in shorting lane by then.

Good move on your part not buying into the scent free clothing. One of the best marketing programs ever to come at hunters.
