We had a thread going on this forum about a year and a half ago about hunting store reviews and I seem to recall that Shooters Choice didn't seem to do so well. I've only ever really dealt with the people upstairs at the Bow Shop so I couldn't comment one way or another on the service from the Gun Room but I have to say that my visit there this past Saturday was very good. My son has grown about 3 inches and gotten much stronger since he got his bow last year so he needed the draw lengthened, draw weight turned up and we were going to have a peep installed. So we threw the bows in the van and my wife and I took the boys up the market in St. Jacobs and then stopped in at the Bow Shop on the way home. I've always had excellent service from the Bow Shop and this time was no exception.
We then stopped in downstairs to grab some steel shot for Daniel's youth hunt on the 20th. The guys working that day were awesome. I like to browse and see if there's anything new and was asked by several guys if we needed any assistance. When it came time to buy the shells the guy helping told the boys that if there was anything they wanted to see just ask. Well it was game on for the boys. They learned how a single and double action revolver works, got to see how a semi-auto handgun works and Daniel was able to try the fit and feel of a bunch of different shot guns and has decided on what to save up for when he can hunt with his own gun next year. All in all a very positive experience for us.
