    Default Dove Fever!

    Got the fever!!!!

I use a rather simply set up.

Spinning Mojo directly out front at around 25 yards.

Sat with a lawn chair right in the tree line under a big dead tree.

12 ga. 7.5 sheet shot with improved choke seems to work best. I prefer the 21 inch barrel over the 28 inch.

Burned through more ammo then I thought but well worth it!

    Happy Hunting Everyone!

Just wondering if the doves are showing up in flocks or coming in ones and twos. In eastern Ontario I cover an area from the 416 to hwy 29. I never see doves in flocks, just ones and twos usually on gravel or above on the hydro wire.

Nothin fancy , I lather them up with a little sesame oil mixed with some salt and pepper and put a wee piece of bacon on the breast and bake until done. I like them better than duck and maybe even more than grouse.

I use the same set up pigeoneater. I am seeing small flocks and the occasional single or double in this neck of the woods. I like the wood duck the best to eat then dove and grouse.

I got 7.5s in steel at Canadian Tire but it was their only box so not sure how common it is.
