In search of Grouse (Bala, 9 mile lake Area)

Hey I am going up to my girlfriends cottage this weekend and we both have bird dogs. I was wondering if anyone may have tips on where might be good for getting into birds. Not looking to steal a spot, but just more of a question of areas with land access that may hold birds.

There are tons of crown land around Bala, Mac Tier and Torrance. Any place has birds and grow ups, have fun....

Yep. Lots of crown land. Leaves are starting to come off but lots still on. Let your dogs do the work for ya

My Buddy has a cottage on nine mile as well. He sees quite a few in the bush up there as well. If your heading up there with a quad theres some good trails close to the marina.

I will look into the trail network around the lake. It looks like it is mostly Private land on the marina side of the lake. Thanks for all the help. Much appreciated.
