Had to be flight birds. I've been through that same covert several times in the past few weeks & never turned up more than a couple of birds.

A meal fit for a king. Nothing like going to mother nature mart. Excellent conditions today birds just flighty enough to hold for a point yet not to settle to be kicked up. Went 4 for 5 today now just too find some numbers. 1 female the other 3 males.

And a grouse in the deal, too. I'd call that a good day.

I wish I knew how to ID mushrooms. That's something I'd love to learn ... the perfect accompaniment to the birds.

Nice job the pair of you. I found no wc in parry sound over the weekend, and missed a couple grouse. Dog brought a turtle to hand..... It was nice running into you out there last week Welsh.

Nicely done Welsh. A good way to tell if they are flight birds is the fat content on them. Local birds themselves don't always stay in the same bush as they will move around in the area. Next 2 weeks should be prime so just trying to find the time myself to get out there!!!
