Hey guys. I do alot of hunting on crown land so I have lost a tree stand or 2 to sticky fingers lol I have been thinking about buying the summit viper. How easy are they to use and am I limited to certain style of trees?

I have a summit and would buy another. This has been beaten before in other threads, so it's a personal choice as they make different ones just like trucks. The trees must be of certain diameter and free of branches to a height that you want to hunt at. I was surprised at how many trees fit the bill. Never had a problem finding a tree, I carry a small pocket saw to trim as I climb. I like a rough barked tree as I have had mine slip on smooth bark. Comfortable and secure, I have slept in mine mid day during all day hunts and never felt nervous.

I'm using the Summit 180SS and loving it. Full wrap seat with pockets for them hand warmers to keep yer butt and back warm during long sits. Would not trade this unit for anything. Have tried a few climbers and this is the one for my o'le corpse to be in.

Yep, both my son and myself have the vipers, after owning many different brands the viper is a little better in all categories (ie comfort, weight, ease of use, noise etc etc).
I sleep in mine all the time, its way way way better than trying to sleep in a clamp on stand. I will get up in the tree about 1 hour before shooting light and getting that extra hour of sleep allows me to stay up in the tree all day, if I am only hunting a few hours at a time a clamp on stand is fine for me.

Im with Dutch on the Lone Wolf Climbers. I've used a few and although the lone wolf might not be as comfortable as some of the Summits, its a deer hunting machine. Its, by far, the most most quiet to hike with, set up and definitely to climb with. It's pricey but I'm very happy with mine. With that said, a Viper is still a pretty sweet ride.
