Impressed with my hound's performance
So I recently posted about how my hound found a deer for me on the weekend. Well today I gave him the broad head and put him on the trail of my bolt. Took him about 20 minutes and this several days later with rain in between.

The short piece was found inside the deer on Saturday. Long section was recovered by the dog today about 100 yards from the impact site.
The wilderness is not a stadium where I satisfy my ambition to achieve, it is the cathedral where I worship.

Wow . You've got yourself a great hound!

That's excellent, good story. I love when our best friends takes part in the hunt.
As a side note: I have had that happen to EVERY carbon arrow I have killed deer with...every one was found broken. I tried different manufactures, but the same thing. I switched back to aluminum 2219's because of it.

Very cool! I haven't had a shaft break yet, (carbon express maxima hunter kv) not sure if the Kevlar in it helps or not. Time will tell.
