Southern Ontario rut

Hi guys anybody know what phase the rut is in now. Been layed up plan on getting out after shotgun week. Hoping for some high activity.

I think it is looking great for the next two weeks .should be some amazing hunting if you can find some deer Dutch

Thanks. That was a quick response. Can't wait getting out Monday morn hopefully. First year bow hunter and was hooked after the first day. Deer will prob be a little more cautious after this week is done for a couple days I imagine.

Well the rut is not on in the area we hunted this past week...the does were on their own and not a buck to be seen anywhere and no rubs or scrapes!

the mature bucks we took were not full out chasing but rather coming back to cover in the mornings. They smell very strong of rut and the hocks are getting darker. We did see some smaller bucks chasing

Buddy got on sat before the shotgun hunt his neck was swelled rattled him in came in grunting. I was out a little bit before shotgun week all the does we're still alone and nothing following them. Sounds like it should be good next week.
