I have had the one from Costco since June, I have used it quite a bit, at least once a week. I smoke a lot of cheese and meat and stock up on meat when its on sale for smoking so it gets lots of use, its been great. Rolls are on sale at costco this week too, its quite a good deal. I ordered the marinator from walmart and it works well when it works but the valve broke (lost a tiny gasket while washing) after a couple months so I ordered a new one and took it back.
This version says you can vacuum moist foods, it works ok, but it can still be hard or impossible to get a seal if its really wet. If you wanted to vacuum anything with liquid in the bag, you have to freeze it first and then vacuum seal, or freeze your marinades in ice cube trays and pop a couple in and then seal.

Foodsaver.com had some great deals during their Black Friday sales over the last few years. Have a look there in a couple weeks.
I have one that I got a number of years ago. Like has been said, don't over heat the pump.
For bags, I just got the sportsmans pack from www.thesweetattack.com Great deal!
