went out a couple hours, had to watch for widow makers around my ground blind, wind was really bad. Saw one buck out of range, leaving, saw one doe exiting pines but way off crossbow range. So they were moving, just not close.

After the huge ice storm last year and sitting in stand this year i noticed all the broken branches still in the trees. this is a good wind to blow them out of the tree. Not my idea of fun hunting :/

100 km winds are enough to blow anyone out of a stand. Wait for the good weather to return and they will come out from hiding hungry!

Well said. I have the same experience. Worst thing is wind, they usually don't move, IMO any wind above 25KM/hour is not a good day for hunting...

You are missing out on a lot of hunting opportunities if you aren't hunting in over 25km winds.

I went and checked my ground blind yesterday, it had blown about 50 yds to the north (i had it pegged to the ground too!)...yet my chair was still in the same original spot...I guess I would have been ok if I had been in there at that time? lol

With the wind and rain I figured it was a good time to relocate my stand to a hopefully more productive stop.
wore rubber boots and gloves to not stink up the place to bad. We will see next time I get out if this was a good idea.
