Default TOW mink oil for patch lube.

Does on one use mink oil for a patch lube?, reading on other post on barrel fouling. I have been trying to reduce fouling and wonder if anyone has luck with it using goex powder. After breaking my ramrod a couple days before deer season trying to load another shot without running a cleaning patch down first. I read that people shoot all day without swabbing I just don't get it....
So the quest for the perfect patched ball combination continues. Lol

I had never heard of mink oil as a patch lube, should work.

I bought some bear fat ones....yet to try them, will let you know how they work the next time I take the .45 out.

If nothing else you can waterproof your leather boots if it doesn't work out as a patch lube...... I have a can I haven't got to yet. Still using my bear fat.

As above, or just use plain old "lard".
