sawbill guides bear hunts so I think he knows what he's talking about. He's probably spent more time in the bush in one year that skull has in his life.
I would trust sawbill, but then again I know him personally!

A bad day hunting or fishing is better than a good day at work.

Roe do you know me? No you don't...so how can make a statement like that?
Trying to help and back up your friend's comment I understand.
If sawbill is the guy that I think he is, he should stop criticizing Ontario outfitters and try to help residents on the spring hunt. So far he hasn't done anything useful.
If he guides for bear hunters, he should speak up for himself and his business and not for other Ontario outfitters. I can reassure you that there are a lot of good outfitters out there.

You don't know me either and you're talking about a man whose spent his whole working life in the bush as a CO, so I would trust what he says because he's been there and seen that.

Not true. The major reason outfitters don't take ontario residence is because they had bad experience with slob hunters, who book one year and moved their group in the next. Sorry.

Yes, Roe+ , you're right I don't know you, that's why I never put any negative comments about you.
But you did put negative comments about me without knowing me too.
And yes now I know I'm right and I know who sawbill is.
Tell Mr. Ken I will not be going to shoot all his bears. There are plenty of them for everybody.
and for a ex CO commenting like that about outfitters, shame on you.

Skull is a very reputable bear outfitter. You will be very happy booking a spring bear hunt with him.
Roe you should be ashamed of yourself talking about bear hunting outfitters like that. I bet you lost your job as a C.O.!! I come into contact with C.O.'s on a daily basis, including retired C.O.'s. NONE are as unprofessional as you.
Sawbill, you should be banned from this forum. Moderators never talk the way you do.
Sawbill, like the other forums you visit, you act quite immature. You would be the last person anyone would think of as a bear outfitter. Your negative comments about Ontario Outfitters prove your lack of bear hunting knowledge. GROW UP and act like the moderator!!!
Sawbill, working for a bear outfitter for a year or 2 does NOT make you a bear guide.

Thinking that because someone was a CO makes them an expert at hunting is an uneducated response IMOP.
I have met enough CO's who didn't have a clue but Im not saying that about sawbill. Never met the man but I wont call him an expert as well.
