best Fly Combo Travel Kit for under$150?
hey everyone, its been a while since ive been on here...
i dont do a lot of fly fishing, but i do a few trips a year and would love to have a quality fly combo, but carrying a 9' rod through the bush is not fun.id like a 4-6 piece kit with line, backing and a few flies..preferrably both floating and sinking line....
i remember seeing a nice kit a few years ago,but i forget the name.does anyone know of a good travel combo kit?

My best option for a quality rod for the price range is simply buy and blank and build your own rod. Its much cheaper, not difficult to do and then you can get exactly what you want. I personally like the MHx blanks simply because they are a reasonable price and are quality blanks backed by a manufacturers warranty. Mudhole.com has everything you need to get a rod going just pick a model and have at it. I cant help you on the reel side of things because my cheapest reel is over your budget so I'm not any good for cheap reel selections, but without a doubt building your own rod is 1. a great experience 2. you will never get such a rush as catching a fish on a rod you built 3. saves you a couple hundred dollars.

If i were you i'd be all over second hand sites like kijiji, you'll get more bang for your buck, and at this time of year i am sure there are some deals to be had.
