As much as we like to side with Darwin from time to time - please practice safety all the time. New and young hunters all need to learn from the book, from a mentor, from one of the "old boys" so they don't have to learn the hard way.

I still think of that poor lad who was shot every time I walk into Epps.

You can tell about it...but at the end of the story I am still gonna be shaking my head glad that none of the people in your stories hunt with or near me.

So i guess you don't want to hear about the moose hunting trip with a 12 ga. Hole in the truck roof.

That's the problem moose hunting on crown land you never know who is around the corner.

Well if I come accross a bunch of yahoos poking their bon fire with gun barrells and driving around in a truck with a 12 ga hole blown thru the roof I will gladly pick up and leave, would rather make it home to my kids at night then shoot a moose that badly anyday.
