Default CPIC check VIN for stolen Vehicles

Looking at buying a sled, and checked the web to see if VIN can be checked. Website below:

For snow machine check here, was surprised at the amount info you can glean with a VIN, buyer beware..
Search Vehicles by VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)

You may search for autos, trucks, vans, SUVs, motorcycles, snowmobiles, farm vehicles, heavy equipment, trailers, or ATVs. Please enter only letters and numbers without spaces or other special characters.

A few yrs back they did a VIN number check on ATV's heading up for the Moose hunt outside of North Bay...they found over 30 that were listed as stolen.

Never heard how many of the new owners knew they were in possession of stolen property

As long as the serial number, make and model of boats and motors have been recorded after being reported stolen, they can be traced, too.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

The new owners are the same turds who would complain if someone broke into their garage or truck and stole from them. but they jump at a cheap ATV. No pity for the arseholes. Willful blindness can be a beetch if proven.

I wonder how many stolen portable outhouses they found! Always several go missing around here as fall approaches.
