Okay you feel you can quote context from my post that is smokeless specified and alter the intention with a comment that most would associate with smokeless without being more specific?
Okay for the sake of being civil this one I’m going to let pass.

Sounds too complicted to me.
I will stick with my old TC OMega with dirty powder. Bang flop @ any deer out to 100 yards... LOL
Just kidding I want a Savage some-day if I can find one that is...

You have got the right perspective on deer hunting, even though the Savage is capable of 200 yard kills, all my deer killed with mine have been well under 100 yards.
One thing about the Savage is I really appreciate it's accuracy , can constantly clover leaf 3 shots [ touching ]. at 100 yards , barring any trees in the way it is game over once the scope settles on the kill zone . Since I have had mine 8 Years , 8 deer down , all one shot kills , except for this year [ I didn't see one ] the other guys did all the shooting.
All of our deer hunting is done in sometimes quite heavy bush where you are lucky to be able to see beyond 100 yards, it would be nice to hunt deer out in the open fields where 200 yard shots would be common but alas it is not so, not around here.
If you want a Savage , one of the members on this forum was talking about selling one of his , can't remember who.

I had a chance to buy his but I am a procrastinator & I was looking @ a few others SML's for sale & he changed his mind about selling it.
Now I am kicking myself because none of them are available now. Maybe he will decide to sell it again someday & next time I will send the $$ right away so I don't lose out...

The new Remington Ulitmate ML is the new 'long' range shooter to 400 yds and it burns Black Powder so it will be your best bet going forward.

One option is PR bullets smokeless build.
I bought a new 700 sps HB in 243 last week just for this purpose. Should be ready by mid January.

Yes but a few differences. Smokeless powder can be used and they are using green mountain custom smokeless barrels.
These are good barrels and by the time you are done cost wise, no more money into the rig.
The ultimate is still BP or substitutes.

The rem ultimate is certainly a new development but still bp. Therefore cleaning every 3-5 shot's ? No? The savage ml by passes that part altogether. Can you prime the "special " cases in the field ? I'm not a big ml enthusiast but after 28 shot's no cleaning and still clover leafing shot's in the 10 ring at 100 I'm sold on my savage.
