Lyme Disease
Not sure where this would go, but it looked like some good information for people who spend a lot of time outdoors. I fear Lyme disease is going to become and increasing public health concern in coming years.
Possibly a sticky somewhere, or a forum for public health issues related to fishing and hunting?

I agree, I watched a documentary with David Suzuki on this very subject. Due to global warming/warmer winters it becoming more common. Especially since the largest carrier for ticks is thriving the last few years --> field mice
Hopefully our healthcare will step up to the plate to properly diagnose possible patients

Scary. I can protect my dog fairly well but it's me I worry about. I have to admit turkey hunting and the way we do it is starting to freak me out. Plunking your arse into the forest floor is a tick bite waiting to happen. Been lucky so far.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

There's still Permethrin bottle with your name on it here
