Has too much time on their hands
I had an early Christmas present. My son and his wife brought my wonderful grandson (20 months old) up for a visit. I got to play with him and hold him. Wonderful!

Holy Moley: You guys getting stainless varmint rifles. I assume from your wives. Treat those women like gold. They deserve it.

yes it does actually. I have plans to set it up in the basement and pattern the cats movements for the time being. My moms cat has come to visit for a few months while she goes away, and I might get some shots of a good fight, her cat is a cruel predator and ours is a biatch.
also (I almost forgot, since this is MY last Christmas), we got the news that our baby is going to be a girl. we told all the family and friends and everyone is really happy!! I guess that is a good Christmas gift in itself, but its the gift that keeps on giving (poops).
It is awesome how much the news of a new baby lightens up the Christmas atmosphere, I cannot wait until we get to have her running around opening gifts on Christmas.

From the wife : OFAH sweater and a Mark's gift card.
From the son : "American Sniper" book and a Mark's gift card.
From the daughter : Trace Adkins CD and a CTC gift card.
From the mother in law: Some cool smaller odds & ends and a Mark's gift card.
I converted the Mark's cards into a Columbia jacket and I am putting the CTC card towards a new cordless drill.
BUT the best Christmas present was having everyone home for the holidays and sharing the day with the people I love most.
EDIT: I guess I got squat as far as outdoor gear goes (except for maybe the sweater)....but Christmas was great.

It was a great Christmas eve and day. Could not have asked for any better. My son 22 and daughter 20 stayed both days with us without any distractions (girlfriend and boyfriend)..lol. We spent time shooting big animals on video games, shooting a few games of billiards and enjoying refreshments. My wife cooked a great meal with the traditional turkey and all the trimming. We even had time to visit my family in Cornwall for a few hours yesterday.
Opened up my gifts to find a new winch for my ATV, a 60" Pelican snow sled with cover for ice fishing, a heavy duty battery checker for my power toys and various clothing.

Merry Christmas to everyone.
I got spoiled this year, the girlfriend got me some camo clothing and a nice bottle of whiskey, my mom got me a dozen arrows and a hard plastic bow case, and my dad has a business contact who works for Leupold and got me an awesome rangefinder for a good deal. I also got a few BPS gift cards, deodorant and the regular socks and chocolate.
This year was quite different for me, my mom went away to Cuba for the week (she hasn't been on vacation in a long time but felt really bad she wasn't going to be here this year, until I looked her in the eye and told her she deserves it and if she didn't go I would put her on the plane myself) so I spent most of my time with the girlfriends family, and today I flew down to Columbus Ohio to visit my dad, step mom and wee sister. The best feeling was seeing her face light up as she ran full tilt and jumped on me at the airport.
