The fuel mileage depends on how big a piece of 2x4 you lay under the gas peddle! But really everyone drives differently and have different set-ups on their trucks. So as per the manuf. claims those are empty trucks and some only 2wd. Look at the fine print.

At 1.25 litre that works out to just over 9 litres pe r 100. So it really depends on what's the price of gas. I frikin laugh when guys talk about how far their vehicle goes "on a tank of gas". Great math skills there lol.
A truck that goes 600km on $80 of gas......thats even funnier.
You guys kill me. Man this place is entertaining.

It's been under $1.00 here for over a month and last two weeks seem to stabilize at $0.93. I'm waiting for the rest of the 1/2 ton diesels to show up since dodge dropped the glove. Can't see myself getting into a 3/4-1 ton diesel when a 1/2 ton will do.

Nissan cummins will be a 5.0l V8. Dodge currently used a 3.0l v6. Will see if GM & Ford will show up. Toyota uses diesel around the world but can't understand why they're not in either.

Do these comparison charts take the rear differential ratio into account? Could make quite a difference.

Why shoot a deer with a .30-06 when a. 243 will do?
The obvious extra purchase price aside why not have more for the just in case. [emoji4]
How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

Don't you mean 30-06 to a 270? 243 is on the lines of a Tacoma. Lol....

Here are some numbers for the debate, I posted on a previous post about my dodge eco diesel mileage. Updates since new, 7255km, average speed 48km/hr, with average fuel consumption of 9.1 L/100 km. this is since new. The mileage is split between highway and city, I would suggest with a roughly 50/50 split as the 48km average speed. This also includes about 500km highway towing a 3000lb load. Also of note should be that the last 6000k have been with the winter tires and steel rims, so I can only guess it would get better with the summer highway tires on it. I don't think anyone can argue these are good numbers, my only complaint is that diesel hasn't come down like the gas prices!
