Gotcha one better... was setting up on a nuisance beaver call, went to a curve in the creek, set the last trap I planned on. Backed up a bit, and set another in a good slide. While setting that one, nailed a beaver in the trap I had just set. Finished up with the set I was making, went to take that one out of the trap, leaning my .22 mag on a small tree beside me. Had to stop what I was doing to shoot one that came around the curve in the creek. That Wilson Green Lure was drawing them in for sure! Ended up taking 11 beaver on that contract, but was sure nice to get two on the set up.

I love beaver just not the kind that is eating my birch by the garage, shed, and dock.

I was debating on just shooting him on private land and using the pelt and trying my hand at eating her (sounds better than him). My understanding is I would need a trapper licence. Correct?
