    Default Hunting with a Tavor

    I'm just wondering - does anyone here hunt with a military style "assault" rifle? There are a few NON RESTRICTED options like the TAVOR, Swiss Arms SG550 and the Robinson XCR;

    I especially like the TAVOR;

    I think it would be a lot of fun using this to hunt Coyotes. It also accepts 10-round .223 LAR pistol mags which are legal, circumventing the 5 round limit. Just in case I run into a whole family of coyotes But something tells me I might get a lot of unwanted attention walking around with it in the field.

    What do you guys think?

    You want my opinion? No offense to you but i think thats the most stupid looking thing ive ever seen in my life. I wouldnt be caught dead shooting one of those. Whats wrong with a regular rifle that probably has way better accuracy and reliablity than this?

    LOL, If I seen someone in the field with that on their shoulders I would walk the other way. What war are you fighting in the back woods of ontario?

    Can you imagine if when you park your car and someone happens to drive by seeing you pull this out what attention you would bring?

    I agree great for the range but has no place in the field hunting for anything unless you want to be branded. I can see the farmer now when that gets pulled from it's case. Other than a .50 cal, don't snipers use a hunting based bolt action rifle for accuracy?

    I agree Hunter, I agree.

    Now open the floor to the whole crowd of "I should be able to carry and shoot any gun I see fit" Any takers? I know who is in that boat but won't name names.

    I would strongly suggest either the poster or moderator take the "baby - eating" header out, come on man use your head this is a public forum viewed by many, not just hunters.

    That looks retarded, and IMO anyone who sees you in the field is going to think you're a goof..including those ppl that grant permission. If you really want something military looking go for a non-restricted armalite.
