Cooks Bay?
How thick is the ice at Cooks?
Never been ice fishing there and am hoping to go with a friend either Tuesday or Wednesday.
Any baits the fish seem to prefer over another?
Never really ice fished before so any tips would be appreciated
thanks

Went out today, ice thickness was around 6 to 8 inches. Just used minnows. Manage only 8 jumbos rest were small. Im glad i rented a hut, wind was pretty strong out there.Good luck!

Try jigging raps tipped with plastics and small spoons tipped with a minnow/minnow head works well on that side of the lake. Use a little larger spoons to thin out the smaller ones as they are more plentiful in that area. Keep moving too, I tend to stay away from the crowds and do well. Start shallow (10ft) first light and move deeper as the sun comes out (15-20ft) out in the bay.

Lots of perch in Cooks Bay that's for sure. Methods for catching them mentioned above are correct , connecting with the jumbos can be a hit and miss some days.
A bad day of fishing....is not as bad as you think.
