Can't blame them, its those A-holes that are ruining it for all of us.... Find them and lay some charges... How could a few guys make such a mess and think its okay to leave it behind.... Jerks....

It's the same problem here at the Limerick forest....inconsiderate yahoos are forever leaving all their crap behind after shooting.

The only reason it hasn't been closed down is that the pit is used by a lot of different groups for functions so it get cleaning up regularly. Eventually however, someone will take pics and the township will also take a look at a ban on shooting here too.

There used to be a few areas around here where we could target shoot freely,but,like everything else,the idiots ruined it,the Raglan Gravel Pits being the best. Sign of the times,I guess.

After looking at those pics, I am 100% behind that band. But like Hawkman said, these a holes will move and spoil another place.

I'm actually surprised it took so long for the city to close it down. I used to hunt/shoot there back in the 1980's when I lived in Ottawa and the slobs had made a mess of the place. I carted out many garbage bags full of "crap" from the shooting areas.

And now it's there children who they taught not to pick up after themselves.

I've seen duck blinds almost as bad as that pic with all the shell litter. Pretty cool if you know who the pigs are. You spend 3 hours picking it up, then go to their house in town and scatter the same pile on their front lawn - hulls, boxes, food wrappers, hand warmers, pop cans, snow fence, burlap garbage, snow fence, skids. Add 15 piles of toilet paper, for artistic effect. Make sure some of it gets on to the neighbour's lawns. Worst destruction I've seen was from an SKS crowd who literally clear cut a half acre with their FMJ rounds.

They are the same type that litter our highways and parks with Timmy's cups, MacDonald wrappers , plastic pop and juice bottles etc.
