They are a lovely addition to any family. And most will earn their keep. Wouldn't be without one...

Really nice pics.
Almost have to agree with "beagles are my favourite" although I have loved setters and JRTs

Has too much time on their hands
I can't imagine not having a merry little hound with floppy ears and a white-tipped tail

That's a great pic. So hard to lose them.
For the first time to day my 14 year old setter stayed with me and didn't roam the woods. Hard to handle- so to go off topic.)

We have 4 labs right now but if my husband said he wanted a beagle or even a beagle hound cross I would say go get one. I sure miss the old girl we had. When you opened the door in the morning she started to tongue as soon as her feet hit the walkway. The pics are great. The rabbits are back on our property too.

I only had mine for 5 years and he developed a condition( Glaucoma) that we were only able to treat with medication for a year before it was uncontrollable and caused pain. Loved that little guy. We didn't run cottontails much though, mostly Hare. He was a 15" male. When we were in college we hare hunted from beginning to end of the season.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.
