Do you believe it? Scientific American is very reliable.

Interesting, I'll have my compass ready from now on to see if this is true.

Seems like the magnetic field has more random fluctuations here than it is aligned....coincidence ...I think not..

I think a video showing a fox hunting mice by diving through the snow was posted here... Anyways, the narrator stated that they observed that the fox was significantly more successful when facing north (I think) before the pounce... maybe related?

My dogs must be broke...they spread it around like a piece of farm equipment...You know which one I mean too.
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

I think the study is a load of cr@p
Mine face any which way. Except that they don't like the wind blowing up their backsides.

The spinning of the drum may be creating an electro-magnetic field, probably throwing the dog off.
I find the wind as more of a determining factor, my dog uses the shrubs and fences as shelter while he does his business, his favorite spot is under a Blue spruce... a fence on one side, then a shed and cedars, complete privacy, no wind, his own little washroom.

Well, there was no method to the direction she pooped yesterday (her butt was even right into the wind) but I'll stay on top of this.
