thats alot of coons unsold lol
what happens when the fur dosent sell? do they just keep it and put it the next auction till it sells?

Looks like the fur sale business is moving off shore; the political issues with some of the biggest buyers means they have to take the pelts to a more neutral setting to sell them. I guess that's not a big issue as long as it doesn't prevent the trappers from still selling their pelts.
No sales of coon pelts is not a good thing....and $20 for beaver isn't going to make anyone rich 
No mention of Fisher pelts..is there a reason, are their pelts better later in the season ?

Fisher and marten next sale. This sale was in i believe helsinki.Nafa has over 250,000 unsold coon.Its sale is next week.Noobody is going to make any amount of money.The russians buy the coon and we all no whats going on over there.

i only do a bit of nuiscance trapping around the farm and for neighbours, always give my furs to a local trapper, dont waste my time with them, he wouldnt even take the coons this year...

Good thing gas is cheap. The guys with the big lines and big beaver quotas are not going to even break even. Your time, fuel, and wear and tear on your truck and snow machine will be a tough pill this year. I'll be surprised if you don't see an increase in the availability of registered lines. Some guys might see this as a good time to call her quits.
